Neighborhood Walks

For dogs who thrive on routine and familiar surroundings, our neighborhood walks offer a safe, engaging, and enriching experience right in your own community. Whether your pup prefers a relaxed sniff-and-stroll or a more energetic outing, I tailor each walk to their individual needs, ensuring they get the right balance of physical activity and mental stimulation.

With my background as a former zookeeper and experience working alongside veterinarians, I understand canine behavior and how to make walks both enjoyable and beneficial. I also incorporate basic training reinforcement, helping improve leash manners, focus, and overall behavior while making each outing a positive experience.

Beyond just exercise, my walks provide companionship and stimulation, reducing boredom and anxiety for dogs who spend time alone during the day. Whether you have a high-energy pup needing a good workout or an older dog who enjoys a gentle stroll, I adjust the pace and route to keep them comfortable and happy.

🐾 Neighborhood Walks Scheduling Policy

At Salt Lake Paws, we understand that every pet and every schedule is unique. To ensure the best care and efficient service for all our clients, we operate using flexible time blocks for walks and outings.

Time Blocks

We offer services during the following general time frames:

- Morning Walks: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

- Midday Walks: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

- Afternoon Walks: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

- Evening Walks (Summer Only): 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

While we cannot guarantee an exact start time, we do our best to accommodate preferred times (such as 10:00 AM) within your selected block. Just let us know your preference when booking.

Important Seasonal Note:
During periods of extreme summer heat, some neighborhood walk time blocks may be unavailable to protect your dog’s paws from hot pavement. In these cases, sessions may be adjusted to include a quick potty break followed by indoor play, enrichment, or attention time in a safe, cool environment.

Adventure Outings

For dogs with an adventurous spirit, our Tail Wagging Adventures go beyond the neighborhood, taking them to breathtaking canyon trails, scenic desert landscapes, or even out on the water for a paddle-boarding experience. These outings provide the perfect mix of exercise, mental stimulation, and the thrill of exploring new environments, giving your pup an unforgettable adventure tailored to their energy level and interests.

With my background in animal care and experience working with a variety of breeds and temperaments, I create outings that keep dogs engaged, confident, and having fun. Whether your pup loves splashing through creeks, bounding over rocky terrain, or taking in the fresh mountain air, I ensure they have a fulfilling and rewarding experience.

Adventure outings are more than just exercise—they provide enrichment that stimulates your dog’s senses, builds confidence, and satisfies their natural curiosity. Whether it’s a rugged canyon hike, a run through the desert, or a day gliding across the water, your pup will return home happy, tired, and ready for a well-earned nap.

Adventure outings take place within your designated travel zone and are defined as any location outside your immediate neighborhood. Priority is given to natural environments or high-stimulation destinations such as Wheeler Farm. If you’re interested in an adventure outside your zone, an Out-of-Zone Add-On may be available depending on our current schedule and availability. You can check out our zone map here.

Seasonal Safety Note:
While natural trails usually stay cooler than city sidewalks, summer heat can still pose risks—especially during midday. To keep your pup safe and happy, we may shift adventure outing times earlier in the morning or later in the evening to avoid peak heat. We always ensure access to fresh drinking water—either carried or accessed from clean natural sources—and adjust the outing’s pace and duration based on your dog’s needs and current conditions.

Whether you’re heading out for a short trip or an extended getaway, I offer pet sitting and house sitting services to ensure both your furry family members and your home are well cared for. If your pet stays at home, they’ll receive personalized attention, exercise, and companionship, keeping them happy and comfortable in their familiar surroundings.

Even if you choose to board your pet, I can still take care of your home—bringing in mail, watering plants, and checking on security so you can travel worry-free. Salt Lake Paws Lockout Service

If You’re Locked Out, I Can Help You Get Back In!

At Salt Lake Paws, I know that accidents happen — forgotten keys, unexpected door locks, or emergencies.
That’s why I offer a Lockout Assistance Service for clients who trust me with a spare key.
If you ever get locked out, I can come and safely let you back into your home.

How It Works

If you’re locked out, simply call or text me.
Because I securely store a copy of your house key (only for clients who have authorized and provided one), I can come to your home and get you back inside without the stress of calling a traditional locksmith.

Lockout assistance is available during my regular business hours, and I do my best to prioritize these situations as quickly as possible.
